Salzburg day 4

On this day we left Salzburg and headed  to the German Austria boarder.  We were hoping to see the ice caves and Hitlers Eagle's Nest but due to the snow we ended up at the Konigssee instead.  The boat ride was beautiful.  Not too far into the ride a man played the trumpet and we could here the tune echo off of the mountain walls a bunch of times.  We also passed a memorial where a boat of pilgrims died when the boat hit the edge but no one was able to swim to safety.
The girls loved the boat ride.

We passed by this picturesque little church called St. Bartholoma and a little inn.  These can only be reached by boat.
Nice waterfall emptying into the Konigssee.
We went on a little hike when we got to the last destination on the other side of the lake.  Everything was incredibly green.

At the end of the hike was another little lake with a huge waterfall in the distance.  The girls enjoyed playing on this pier.
