Ted's 40th birthday in Graubenden

For Ted's 40th birthday this year we headed to the Graubenden area and stayed at a friends cabin in Monbiel.  Our first adventure was spent at Madrisa Land, a ski resort turned fun park in the summer. The next day we enjoyed a carriage ride and eating at a remote mountain restaurant. The third day we opened gifts at the park in Klosters, ate fancy torte cakes, and played at yet another playground while Ted explored the town of Davos.

Kaitlan is learning about snails in school.  These are her latest pets!

Lexie has decided the washing machine is extremely interesting.  It echos when screamed into, has all kinds of different textures, has this cool moving door, and she can stand while doing all of this-perfect!

Weesen

On September 3rd, we headed to Weesen lake to enjoy some sunshine.  The girls rode around on their bikes and even swam out to the floating slide.  Mom even found her new favorite icecream, Plum! Dad and Lexie enjoyed splashing in the water and trying not to eat rocks.

First day of School

A few days after we got back home to Switzerland the girls started school.  Aubrie is going into 3 grade and Kaitland into 2nd Kindergarten.  They wore their matching outfits and we carried on the German tradition of recieving a Schule tute on the first day of school filled with school supplies and goodies to celebrate their big day.

Utah- Burton Lane Home

We had a great time staying at our home in Kaysville.  For me personally, waking up in the same home that I have lived in for 4 years, 4 years ago was such an odd feeling.  It was as though living in Europe had never happened.  I could still picture all our stuff hanging on the walls exactly how I had it.  I'm glad the girls got to play in the under the stairs cubby a bit more.  Good Memories.

Utah-A day with Grandma Michelle

On August 13, 2011 we joined my mother and Gill at the Kearns Parade.  Gill and Mom pulled this handcart that they loving restored while the girls passed out candy from the back.  Lexie and I followed along beside them.  One parade viewer asked if this was the evolution of the wagon: from handcart to baby stroller.  The girls had lots of fun, especially when we passed Grandma and Grandpa Condie along the parade route.

After, Mom, Gill, the girls and I  met Grandpa and Grandma Condie and Gill's daughter Sam at a local BBQ restaurant.

The girls enjoyed spending time with Grandma Michelle  for the rest of the afternoon.
