Salzburg day 3

We went to Hellbrunn Castle and toured the wasserspiel (trick fountain) gardens, built in the 16oo's by an Archbishop who had a sense of humor.  When his guests were seated at this table he could turn on a fountain built into each chair and spray his guests up the whazzo!
There were many beautiful water displays and at any minute if you are standing in the wrong place you could get drenched.
One could be admiring the intricasies of this ceiling, made of seashells when all of a sudden it becomes a shower!
The Sound of Music glass pavilion was later moved here.  I hummed the tune "I am 16..." the rest of the day.
Crazy girls happy to not be confined to life in a castle.
They enjoyed the play ground, come rain or shine.
