Grandma and Grandpa Parkin

We had such a great time visiting family. We are especially grateful to Grandma and Grandpa Parkin letting us stay with them and lending us their car. Grandpa sacrificed watching some news so the girls could watch cartoons and Aubrie loved playing beauty parlor with Grandma. We ate great food whether going out or eating in and Mom loved not having to cook so much. We sure do miss you guys!

Utah- Our trip to Dad's

Since we moved to Germany my father has moved from the home I grew up in to Leed's Utah, just a bit north of St. George. We went from it being snowy one night with the temperature in the 50's to 80 degree heat and sunshine in October. I couldn't believe how dry it was in there in the desert, I was putting on chap stick every 5 minutes and my cold left me blowing my nose every 2. We spent the first day enjoying a drive to Kolob reservoir where the girls tried their best to skip rocks like Grandpa. The red rock mountains were beautiful. The next day we went fishing and the girls caught their very first fish. My favorite part was going on a motorcycle ride with Jacob (my brother) on his new street bike. The girls loved spending time with aunt Angie and Grandma Janice to.

My Mother's Wedding

One of the big reasons we made it home was for my mother's wedding. Congradulations Mom! Aren't those flowers beautiful along side of us?

Utah- More Halloween Fun!

Ted and the girls enjoyed more Halloween fun at This Is The Place State Park with their cousins, Kayla, Turner and Allie Edelman. Aubrie was excited to dress up as a bat and Kaitlan chose to be a Princess this year. At this Halloween celebration they made corn husk dolls, rode on a ponies and a trolly along with touring the old pioneer village and topped it off with face painting.

Utah-Thanksgiving Point Halloween Fun

We decided to enjoy some American Halloween activities at Thanksgiving Point while spending some quality time with Grandma Parkin. It ended up being freezing cold but we still enjoyed the kid corn maze, the cow train, the hay bale slides and Ted especially like the pumpkin cannon! Mom loved eating at Cafe Rio afterwords.

Utah-Aubrie with friends and cousins

In the middle 2 weeks of October we headed home to Utah. The first night Aubrie enjoyed playing this clapping game with her cousin Kayla when all the Parkin's got together. We couldn't believe how much everyone had grown in just a year since we've been gone. It was wonderful to be around so many English speaking people! A few days later Aubrie tried to teach her friend Sarah-Jane Edwards this clapping game.
