Easter at the Black Forest in Germany

At the last moment we changed our Easter plans and headed to Germany's Black Forest area, land of the cuckoo clocks and only 2 hours from our home in Zurich. The first big adventure was a spontaneous stop in the town of Todtnau to ride the Hasenhorn Coaster. It was like a cross between an alpine slide and a roller coaster. The little sled/car thing was attached to a metal track like a coaster and had the same hand break as alpine slide sleds do. It was awesome! A ski lift brought us up the mountain then it was time to 'Let it rip'! Dang slow people in front of me was the only down side. It was a lot like the Wild Mouse ride at Lagoon.

After that we headed to the Titsee, a beautiful lake that the girls got to ride their bikes around and throw rocks in the water.
